Title: Easy Apple Cobbler

5cApples; peeled and sliced
3/4cSugar
2tbAll-purpose flour
1/2tsGround cinnamon
1/4tsSalt
1/4cWater
1tsVanilla extract
1tbButter or margarine; softend
1/2cAll-purpose flour
1/2cSugar
1/2tsBaking powder
1/4tsSalt
2tbButter or margarine; softend
1 Egg; slightly beaten

Combine the first 7 ingredients; mix gently. Spoon into a lightly greased 9-inch square baking pan; dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon over apple mixture in nine equal portions (batter will spread during baking). Bake at 375 F degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.
